the Bergen Railway, from Oslo to Bergen is approximately 350 miles long… built in 1909, a project that is often compared with today’s development of the oil industry on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in the North Sea — many cannot figure out how this Railway was built with the technology and resources they had at the time.
a killer waterfall. for the final hour of a six hour journey from Oslo to Flåm we switched from the scenic Bergen Railway, to the Flåm Railway - with more than 300,000 passengers each year, it is said to be Norway’s most popular tourist attraction.
