Shots fired in Denver’s Civic Center after pot rally, 2 shot
Denver Post: Two people were shot in Denver’s Civic Center during Saturday’s 4/20 pot rally. A man and a woman were both shot in the leg and taken to the hospital, according to police. Neither of their injuries were life-threatening.
Organizers predicted around 80,000 attendees at Saturday’s gathering in Denver. The celebration was the first since Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana for recreational use.

A grim reminder that children are often disproportionately the victims of gun violence: From 2008 to 2009, the number of preschool-aged children killed by guns was nearly double the number of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, according to a report by the Children’s Defense Fund this year.

Lawrence O’Donnell, during a very much heated debate with Rep. Trent Franks (R - AZ), regarding high-capacity clips and the Tucson shooting, on The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell. Rep. Franks is the Congressman who somewhat famously said, “I wish there had been one more gun there that day in the hands of a responsible person.” I’ll be posting the video later tonight… it will be worth the watch. This seems like a perfectly cromulent catchphrase to engrave on a gun.
What kind of people, what kind of country celebrates the blatant disrespect of a President by engraving it onto a gun?
This is too much.
This is actually really scary. What do you think this gun is intended to do? I am absolutely astounded and outraged that any company would even make such a weapon. This is nothing other than inciting further political violence. There is no other way to describe such a horrid weapon.
We need to take a step back and really look at ourselves. Is this the country we want to live in? I may be liberal and have a lot of disagreements with the conservatives but never would I incite violence against a single person. That’s not how you deal with people and you don’t inspire change with violence.
I refuse to live in a country like this and I’m not leaving.
