Been dealing with flaky Craigslist roommate applicants for quite some time now. It’s really annoying.
this has always perplexed me. i like meeting new people, and developing relationships with them. after all, everyone we know was once a stranger. however, i don’t think i would feel comfortable living with someone i just met off a want ad. this idea is completely strange to me, and i know a LOT of people do it, and i understand in nyc its hard to pay rent on one person’s income, but still…..kinda weird to me.
i’ve been fortunate to have friends who would want to share a place before i lived alone, i guess i wouldn’t know if i could do this unless i was pressed into the situation.
