tumblr meetup: what i've learned...

mascarah:

Each month Esquire has an awesome column, What I’ve Learned, where famous people share anecdotes of what they’ve learned throughout their lives. In a blatant copy of their super idea lets all share THREE things we learned last night.

Me first.

  1. The West Village is also ghetto (take that Brooklyn!) Jessica, Erin & I almost saw someone shoot at cops (or 100 cops shoot at him?) outside Fatty Crab at 1ish A.M.
  2. David Karp is one great guy: smart, humble, cool. One of those people that you really find yourself wanting to get the success he deserves. (And his girlfriend kicks ass! love love Amy!)
  3. Overall everyone was just as wonderful as I hoped they would be. I can’t wait to continue to get to know you, offline.

Lets never go to a place without liquor again.

Reblog y’all!

I thought it was a cool place, the only thing missing was the liquor (they had wine and beer on tap), nice jazz band in the back, and a ton of table games (which almost nobody played, too busy socializing.)

I second that on David, you can’t help but root for him.

Oh my list.

1. I learned that people from the internet are not creepy, weird, or pale. Seriously, these are diverse, engaging, intelligent, interesting and attractive people. You’ve got quite a community here on Tumblr.

2. Nobody played drunken scrabble, at least I don’t think they did. I suppose the games were a good idea for an icebreaker, but we didn’t need them.

3. I was humbled to find out so many of the people I follow appreciate my tumblr as much as I appreciate theirs. I also met a lot of people who knew my tumblr but I had not yet been following. They were such interesting people, but I didn’t get a chance to get all their addresses. Please contact me if I met you last night and i’m not following you yet, I’m sorry my memory sucks so bad!
