$Strange Light is a 40-page magazine that features stunning photography fromthe Great Australian Dust Storm of 2009 which occurred just two days ago. Derek Powazek published the magazine overnight using MagCloud. The idea that a magazine can be produced overnight and distributed worldwide, at a fraction of the cost magazines were once traditionally produced and distrubuted is pretty phenomenal. Some possibilities I could imagine: a tumblr like Eat, Sleep, Draw producing a quarterly periodical highlighting the best content they’ve curated.
