A Japanese Take On The US Economy
fred-wilson:
A term you may or may not already know but seems to fit your perspective on why and how the US may survive this crisis is Sokojikara. It is a term of Japanese origin that defines American resiliency as having three pillars: massive immigration, an open economy, and vast natural resources. It came out writings about how the US was able to beat the Japanese after WWII and why Japanese...
Question For CSS Wizards

My tag cloud has returned but I am struggling with figuring out how to manage the container they appear in. Right now they run too far to the right and I want to be able to keep it within a set width.
Any idea how I can do that?
Add this line to your CSS:
#tagcloud a:link {display: inline-block;}
That fixes it in my tests on Firefox 3 for the Mac. I’m not 100% sure what...

America's Best Counterterror Force: The NYPD →
What really sets the NYPD apart is the performance of the Intelligence Division, which has about 600 people in it. Snow Day In New York? →

Most are betting on a foot of snow for the NYC tri-state area, while some conservative forecasters are suggesting 6″ - and the eternal optimists are even predicting 15-20″ of the...

Since last week, Blue Host, the hosting service which is used for this very blog [and Kamangir as well], and the number one recommendation for...

juliakaganskiy:
I don’t really understand Twitter.
How and, more importantly, why do random people find and follow you? Why would someone who lives in London want to know the daily proceedings of my life and the random musings that make up my tweets? I mean, it’s not really like a blog where there is a narrative to follow or a collection of internet curiosities to browse. It seems too intimate...
